PRODUCT MANAGER ATHLETE CONCEPT FTW OR APP (TRAILRUNNING/ WINTERSPORTS) - BU OUTDOOR (M/F/D) (2X)
PURPOSE
- Bring elite athlete, consumer and sport insights into your concepts
- Execute the category athlete concept direction
- Work with sports marketing, all creation and innovation functions to deliver product concepts
- Create athlete concept ranges within the category from both an image and as applicable commercial point of view
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Proactively manage athlete concept range direction
- Propose a clear strategy for the athlete concept range and how to move it on
- Show full understanding of the athlete concept product creation process whilst managing all tasks within the given time frames, with special attention to speed to athletes and market
- Work within cross-functional team and with interlinked departments to enable an efficient product creation process with an optimum product outcome
- Actively analyse elite athlete needs and business, draw conclusions and propose action steps
- Strong knowledge of product information systems and the interlinking functions – clarity on respective timelines
- Good level of product expertise to create industry leading products
- Actively execute spot buying (e.g.buying existing fabrics or already developed/existing styles at supplier)
- Be considered as an athlete concept range expert by markets and retailers
- Prepare and present your ranges and business related topics - with respective audience in mind - by using relevant structure and content
- Actively provide input for setting the Sports Marketing and CtC (Concept to Consumer) direction and implement it into relevant ranges in partnership with Sports Marketing and CtC counterparts
- Work independently on projects and follow up on project development

- Maintain a strong relationship and ensure constant dialogue/feedback with
- Business unit and across other BU´s
- Cross-functional team ( Athlete Concepts, Innovation, Athlete Services, Design, Fashion Operations ,CtC, Materials, Costing, Planning)
- Markets and relevant key retailers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Transport information clear and effectively – negotiate skillfully
- Cooperate well and effectively to maintain and develop trustful relationships
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Plan and prioritize daily working time effectively with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of respective product category
- Strong analytical skills, be solution driven and result oriented
- Ability to travel
- Actively interested in lifestyle and/or fashion
- Passion for sport
QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree, preferably in marketing/business /textile/fashion
- Minimum of 3 years of Product Marketing experience with apparel, footwear or accessories
- Experience in trade, vertical retail business model or sales is helpful
- Fluent in English
- PC skills (MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel)
