YOUR TALENT

Product development

  • Develop, lead, and drive the vision and strategy of the future development of the assigned category
  • Lead and drive the assigned product category through the whole product development and creation process based on the Go-to-Market calendar
  • Responsible for product costing and costing impact on product quality, margin and net sales to achieve set goals within the assigned product category
  • Responsible for developing a conceptual assortment plan (CAP) fulfilling range planning parameters (Category/Segments/Styles/Price Points/DC/Customers/product flow/color merchandising)
  • Understand, leverage and drive the development calendar to ensure business goals are met sustainably

Market cooperation

  • Presenting strategy- and product lines to international partners and key accounts as well as supervising the preparation of international meetings
  • Represent the brand in a trustworthy way in front of accounts
  • Close cooperation with the merchandising, design and development (PUMA Group Sourcing) teams, regions and other stakeholder to ensure that the final collection is reflecting the market needs as well as align concept and product coordination across all product segments
  • Executing business trips to target markets as well as supplier visits on a frequent basis

Team management and internal communication

  • Functional and disciplinary leading and developing of the Product Management team in the particular BU
  • Providing regular feedback to Senior Head of and BU Management on category development
  • Handle a large amount of conflicting input and distill one powerful action
  • Inspired by high expectations and challenging team members
  • Lead and mentor direct reports toward the achievement of business and personal goals. Clear and kind in communication.

YOUR MISSION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance or related experience
  • Minimum 10 years international footwear product management experience with top tier international sports company, with 3+ years management experience required
  • Credible knowledge of international fashion and performance products as well as technical consumer trends and market dynamics
  • General knowledge of international retail environment
  • High level of technical product knowledge
  • Able to work toward high business goals, handle high business pressure without the spotlight
  • High Prioritization skillset, able to work extremely fast and accurately
  • Commercial eye for product, understanding of the core consumer
  • Self-motivated, able to work into a new organization seamlessly
  • Handle a large amount of conflicting input and distill one powerful action
  • Excellent communication and speaking skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Build relationships horizontally and vertically; know when to inform and when to consult
  • High initiative, high energy, passionate, decisive, eye for detail, confident.
  • Strong analytical skills, overall business orientation
  • Ability to frame and defend an alternative position
  • Ability to convincingly present category knowledge using PowerPoint and spreadsheet software tools.
  • Up to 25% travel required
